Description

Nature, wine, good food: these are the elements of an experience dedicated to those who appreciate the charm of rural landscapes and seek a relaxed country atmosphere.

In the hills of Pozzolengo, eight hectares of vineyards surround an ancient wine cellar, which has been carrying on the family's winemaking tradition for over two centuries. It is precisely between the rows of vines at Turbiana that you can enjoy your wine tasting in the open air, benefiting from a privileged view of the Tower of San Martino and the evocative surrounding landscape.

The owner and her daughter, representing the latest generation of passionate winemakers, will hand you the blanket and picnic basket and suggest the best spots to position yourself to make your experience even more fulfilling.

In the basket you will find simple and genuine flavours: cold meats and cheeses from selected producers, bread and focaccia, a cold first course all the way to dessert, to round off a tasting that will be accompanied by locally produced labels, to be chosen from Lugana DOC or Riviera del Garda Classico Chiaretto or Rosato.

Sipping excellent wine, comfortably reclining between the rows of vines that tell its story, you can enjoy all the freedom and peace that nature conveys.

How does the picnic in the hills of Lake Garda take place?

  • Is it possible to have a differentiated menu to accompany the wine tasting?
The proposed dishes, always made with fresh, seasonal products, are at the discretion of the winery owner, who chooses them according to the daily availability of the various zero-kilometre ingredients. However, in the event of allergies or intolerances, you can communicate your needs directly to the winery via the messaging system that is automatically activated as soon as the booking is confirmed.

  • Is it possible to cycle to the winery where the picnic takes place?
Absolutely yes, in fact we recommend it: the winery is located in the scenic area of Torre di San Martino, among the hills of Lugana, and is connected to the towns of Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione by white or secondary roads; therefore you can rent bicycles and reach Pozzolengo in about 20 minutes by a gentle, hilly route through vineyards and olive groves.

  • Does the winery offer cool, shady areas where you can enjoy a picnic if it is too hot in the sun?
Yes, there is an outdoor loggia and a shaded berceau for those who do not like direct exposure to the sun and the summer heat. In addition, the winery offers an air-conditioned tasting room in summer and a heated tasting room in winter with a glass wall overlooking the hills.

  • Can the wines produced by the winery be bought on site?
Certainly, the owner will give you all the information about her products and show you the wine shop where you can buy the wines from the winery.

  • Is the winery easily accessible from the A4 motorway or is the route rough and rugged?
Although the winery is nestled in the hills of Lugana, it is only a 10-minute drive from the Sirmione exit on the A4 motorway. The road is asphalted and easy to travel.
