Cooking class with shopping at the market at Desenzano del Garda

An experience that combines the discovery of a culinary tradition with an authentic exploration of a famous tourist location: what could be more characteristic than a farmers' market, with its smells, colours and people?

You will meet Marina among the cheese, cake and vegetable stalls at the start of the day. Together with her, you will choose the ingredients for the menu that you will prepare in the traditional kitchen of her home.

At the end of the market stroll, you will move independently to the cook's country house, a few kilometres from the centre of Desenzano del Garda, to get into the thick of the cooking class.

Marina is a lover of traditional cuisine, an expert in local recipes and at the same time an incomparable storyteller of stories and flavours, with a rare capacity for getting everyone involved.

The cooking lesson will take place in an intimate, family setting, in the kitchen of a historic country house, situated among the vineyards of the moraine hills, a few kilometres from the lake. Here you will be greeted with a welcome aperitif consisting of fresh produce and wine from Lake Garda.

An informal and convivial situation in which Marina will guide you, step by step, in the making of homemade pasta: from the preparation of the dough to the creation of ravioli, tagliatelle and other types and shapes of pasta.

You will also prepare, together with Marina, the sauce, chosen from time to time according to the available seasonal products, and a traditional dessert, one step at a time until the it’s baked and ready.

The experience will continue amidst wine tastings, anecdotes and stories, in a three-course lunch, the ones you will have prepared with your own hands. You will thus experience in good company a magical moment in which to delight the palate and relive the age-old ritual of sharing food.

It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and keep your hair tied back for easy cooking. All tools and an apron will be provided on site.
